Isanti County Parks Medallion Hunt winners

The first ever Medallion Hunt in Isanti County Parks proved to be a huge success.

Clues were updated daily at 8 a.m. on the Park’s website and Facebook page leading eager medallion hunters closer to their destination. It was not until after reading the third clue posted on Wednesday, Aug. 26, that Samantha and Kyle Kleven started to narrow down their search.

While checking a couple different locations within Becklin Homestead County Park and coming up empty handed, they happened to come across the medallion hiding in its location alongside a boardwalk that leads hikers across a shallow wetland.

The Isanti County Parks Department greatly appreciates the donations received from Wal-Mart, Mills Fleet Farm, and Target to be awarded to Samantha and Kyle for finding the medallion. Their total prize award included $125 in local business gift cards along with $75 in cash.
