Now there are more ways to run in the cold during the St. Paul Winter Carnival.
The Securian Winter Run has added a 10K race to its annual 5K and half-marathon offerings.
The races, slated to start at 9 a.m. Saturday, will also spend more time in downtown St. Paul this year, passing Mears and Rice parks before heading out onto Shepard Road.
The start/finish line is at Sixth and Jackson streets, adjacent to race sponsor Securian Financial Group.
Same-day registration is from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. Fees are $35 for the 5K and 10K, $45 for the half-marathon.
