If Apple Valley was the United States, this park would be East of the Mississippi River.

Our Thoughts:
If you overlaid a map of the US over the map of the city, you'd find this part of Johnny Cake West to be east of the Mississippi River. This dramatically reduced the search zone, which was needed; the park is huge!

Winning this year’s Mid-Winter Fest Medallion Hunt would be sweet, in a roundabout way.

Our Thoughts:
Abdallah Candies lies just south of the medallion's resting place. Our best guess for the roundabout is the lazy river at the aquatic center, although it might refer to the roundabout at Jonny Cake Ridge Road and 149th St, slightly farther south than that.

I know this hunt is graveling, but that’s actually a good analogy for this parkland’s former purpose.

The whole area from there south to 160th street has historically been home to a large gravel pit.

On one side you can learn trigonometry and on the other side, you can learn to swim.

Eastview High School lies to the north and west of the park, The Family Aquatic Center lies on the south end of the park.

I wonder if tonight's Mid-Winter Fest band (Scary Numan) will get on stage and play Down Under, by Men At Work?

The medallion was hidden under the concert stage in the parking lot outside the main Activity Center building.
