But past the earth
Shovels shall not go

Be quick! Be smart! Have so much fun!

The choices are wide
It’s out amongst
Owatonna pride

Activity is plenty
Even year round
There is but one place
It can be found

But how to narrow it down
From all thirty-two
It’s popular no doubt
And many’s go-to

It has all one needs
To enjoy time in nature
It’s about quality of life
So go on, take your wager

Whether covered in snow
Or bathed in warm sun
The city promises here
You’ll havea mple fun

So get up off your feet
Give it your best shot
For if you sit and wait
A winner, you’re not

There are many ways
We choose to relax
A run, a picnic
Feedings things that quack

But as for me?
I keep it quaint
I fine a spot alone
Pretty enough to paint

The trickling sounds
Put me at ease
I open a book
And pull up my knees

With the sun shining down
Reflecting on liquid glass
I'll stretch along the stream
On the dew-kissed grass

The picturesque vision
A scene from a dream
Switches when the snow comes
To an icicle theme

Though frozen and solid
True beauty remains
So head over there now
