) This year’s hunt will put you to task;
History, geography and a little math will point you down the path;
Find what is liminal.
Explanation:
The remaining five clues held a little of history, geography and math. Unfortunately (or fortunately for the person who located the medallion) not all of the clues were released before the medallion was found so you did not have an opportunity to see the math part of the hunt. The second part of this clue referred to a path which the medallion was located off of the path located near Swamp Lake Park and what was once considered Gutzwiller Lake. The third part of this clue referred to the word “liminal” which means occupying a position at or on both sides of a boundary or threshold. Gutzwiller Lake and Swamp Lake Park are close to the border of St. Michael and Albertville.

Thrown to wild beasts by the Roman emperor and adoptive son of Nerva;
The first part of this person’s name is the clue that will lead you to the money pool.
Explanation:
St. Ignatius is one of the great bishops of the early Church. He was the successor of St. Peter as Bishop of Antioch. He was condemned to death by wild beasts during the Emperor Trajan’s persecution. Emperor Trajan is the adoptive son of Nerva. This clue was to lead you to the name Ignatius which in St. Michael history belonged to one of the founding families that settled in the area and in this case, to Ignatius Gutzwiller Sr. who settled near the location of the clue in 1856.

Surely you can find the plat map of 1879;
From there solve the problem below and you will be able to determine the whereabouts of the medallion.
Problem Part 1:
Place all of the numbers from 1 to 9 inside one of the squares so that all the lines passing through the center square add up to the same number.

Problem Part 2:
Take the number in middle square in the problem above plus Historic St. Michael
Catholic Church plus Dehmer Meats less 418 = Section #____ located on the plat map of 1879.
Explanation:
This is where math comes into play. The first part of the clue refers to a plat map from 1879. The solution to the math problem would have led medallion seekers to the section number in the map where the medallion was hidden.
